I have not been blogging the past month....I have sadly a much different perspective on life. A sister doula friend of mine locally has suffered the worst loss, the sudden death of baby.
Here is a link to a special Facebook page that will allow you to *see* this precious family. and if you can donate to help the family please do.

I have never attended a memorial service for a child or baby. IT was THE saddest hardest thing . Yet to be surrounded by SO many that love her was amazing. I guess you can say while my life is the same as it is, it has me SO much more thankful to God for Life. To be the mother of my children and to treasure EVERY minute , though difficult at times.
I spend every day thinking about her. When I nurse Sebastian I am sad knowing she can not nurse her baby again. I wake in the middle of the night, and I pray for her.
I saw Heather and baby Margaret just less than 48 hrs prior to her passing. At our local Big Latch On event in honor of World Breastfeeding Week. Sigh, World Breastfeeding Week will never be the same for all of us . I took several photos of her nursing baby Margaret. One of the last few photos she her beautiful baby girl. I cry every time I look at them.
I spent two days helping put together a scrapbook of family photos for her. I cried and prayed the entire time. I am a photographer so photos are so precious to me. Seeing her family , seeing her labor and birth photos I felt like I had known her for years.
I have known Heather since right after I moved here. I called her, emailed her about some NFP questions, I moved here right after I suffered an ectopic rupture that I almost died from. She is one of the most giving, loving people I know. A wonderful momma, and when I decided to become a certified doula that is when I really got to know her. At our 'doula' meetings. Last year , on Thanksgiving eve, she trusted me to go as a backup to her back up doula because they were ALL at births. IT was my first ever VBAC mom. She txt me the entire time offering ideas . I do not think she even knows how much that meant to me as a newer practicing doula.
She is one of THE strongest mommas I know. I txt or message her often, but not to annoy her. I pray, txt her scripture God lays upon my heart. She has shared it is all of our prayers that is sustaining her. She says she knows what the hands and feet of Christ look like.
This scripture I shared with her one day only to learn it is dear to her:
"Do nothing out of selfishness or
out of vainglory; rather, humbly
regard others as more important
than yourselves, each looking
out not for his own interests, but
(also) everyone for those of
others"
